Washing your wig is so important and is the key to keeping your wig in the best condition for as long as possible. Washing your wig in the right way will replenish your style and help to maintain its original loveliness.

Before you shampoo we advise that you run your fingers gently through your wig or hairpiece to remove any unruly tangles and follow these simple steps on how to wash it.

Shampooing:

1. Fill your bowl or sink with warm water (but not too warm). Always read the instructions on your Wig Shampoo bottle, but it is normally a cap full, or a good splash of shampoo to be swirled into the water until you have delightful shampoo/water mix.

2. Put your wig or hairpiece into the now, lovely smelling water and gently swish. Do not wring, twist, or scrumple your wig. Just swish. Not all shampoos do require the full duration, but we think it is best to leave the wig to soak for 5 mins.

3.After 5 mins, remove from the water and rinse either the under the tap, or shower head, making sure the water follows the direction of the hair.

4. Gently pat out any excess water and then you can either lay on a towel to dry overnight, or you can pop on a wig stand and leave until the morning. It’s totally up to you. Just remember – no squeezing, wringing or combing your wig when wet. Your wig wouldn
